“Curiosity Killed The Cat” – Australia ‘89 revisited

Im Englischkurs wurde “Free Writing” geübt, in dem die Lehrerin ein Sprichwort vorgab und jeder in 15 Minuten zu diesem Sprichwort schreiben sollte, was ihm dazu einfiel…
Curiosity Killed The Cat
We don’t have such exewrcises in Germany, so I don’t know exactly whait I have to write. F. told me that I should just write something to this sentensce and what I’m thinking about it.
So, “Curiosity killed the Cat” is a pop group who was very popular one or two years ago. I liked the music and I also saw this band on a live concert. But the concert was not good, because the singer couldn’t sing at all, he just wheezed and that doesn’t sounded too good. So, but I think I don’t shall write something about a music group which isn’t popular at all at the moment, I better write something about this/the meaning of this sentence. But I don’t know how to say/to write that in English so I better stop now.
We have such sentences also in Germany, they are SPRICHWÖRTER. The most important is, I think: WER ANDERN EINE GRUBE GRÄBT FÄLLT SELBST HINEIN.

Don’t use so + but together. Just one or the other.
Lustig. Ich kann mich nicht daran erinnern, dass ich Curiosity Killed The Cat mal live gesehen habe, aber ich habe zumindet des Hit von damals bei YouTube gefunden. Hat was von “Rickrolling”, oder?

Am 27. Mai eröffnet das CAFE CORD wieder!
Nachdem das Sonnencarree in der Sonnenstrasse 19 komplett saniert wurde, zieht das Cafe wieder in die alten, neuen Räume. Fotos von den Bauarbeiten und der neuen Terasse kann man bereits auf Facebook » sehen.

Make Hay While The Sun Shines
So, yeah, I understand that meaning. But I think you have no problems to make hay in Australia, because the sun shines every day and I think the sun would also shine also in the night if there were no night!
Oh, this sentence doesn’t make sense! And I should stop now!

You don’t take proverbs literally. This is not about hay it means you must make the most of opportunities when they come along because they may not return. Tomorrow things might be different – that is it might rain.
